ABOUT

Jimmy Alcorn is a freelance director, videographer, and editor based in the Chicago area.  He graduated from Chapman University in Southern California with a BFA in Film Production (Dodge College Of Film and Media Arts) and a BA in Philosophy. He has written and directed several narrative short films which have been accepted to the New York Lift Off Film Festival, Indie Short Fest, Dumbo Film Festival, and others.  His thesis film, American Champion, aired on L.A's PBS affiliate, KCET, for their Fine Cut Festival. 

Jimmy has worked in production in NYC, and has filmed and edited content for brands, social media companies, fundraisers, weddings, and more. He brings an enthusiasm for storytelling and captivating images to both his personal projects and contract work alike. 

When not making films, Jimmy enjoys photography, exploring used bookstores, and hanging out with his dog Ernie.
